Spindles and Loaders

By a spindle it is customary to mean an engine on which a special chuck or collet of a certain diameter is attached. It fixes cutting devices (engravers, cutters, knives, drills) for processing various materials.

Spindle types:

Electro spindles with built-in electric motor enable very high speeds. With a standard 18,000 – 24,000 rpm, some models can maintain a working 120,000 rpm.
They cut very well at high speed modes.
Have load limitations due to the use of small ball bearings.
Not suitable for reverse. The lack of such a function makes it very difficult to create some elements, for example, threading.
The most commonly used clamps are cones or collet clamps.

Mechanical drives with external drive deal with much slower speeds. The standard can be considered from 300 to 8000 rpm. This is due to the fact that it is rather difficult to move all bearings, gears and other elements.
The rigidity and load capacity are greater. Because not only ball bearings can be used, but also more stable roller bearings. Such equipment can even be used for power milling of titanium or other strong metals.
